Max’s birthday, part 2

Max:
Jean organized a birthday part for you at home with all of the children you and Jean meet up with during the course of the week. She even bought goodie bags and a piñata!
Here are some scenes from your fête (including your new play kitchen which your whole family contributed to) …

Jean! What a beautiful party! Max must be the most partied kid in NY. Lucky you guys, having all that fun.

MAX – You’re a party animal – such a social butterfly! Looks like a good time was had by all!

Max’s birthday, part 1

Max:
You turned two this weekend. You had a great time! Your entire family participated.

You got lots of toys, of course.  And some snappy new clothes.  You have a new little kitchen with all sorts of things to go in it and lots of fire truck-related items.  Aunt Amy and Susan even brought you a fire truck cake!

We did a lot of hanging out.  Three dogs were involved.

Everyone had quality time with you.

You toted your new toys around everywhere – including in the stroller when we went out.

On Saturday we had a big brunch with everyone.

You were pretty much exhausted afterwards.

You had lots of snuggling and hugs and kisses from everyone.

Including, of course with, your daddy.

Two monkeys for the two-year-old!

On Sunday, you had more fun (after the longest nap in Max history).

More to come …

Hey Max, Happy Birthday. glad you were surrounded by family for your special day. two. that’s serious stuff. in my experience, the terrible twos really don’t manifest themselves until you’re about three but then I have two girls so I don’t know how it works for the gents. see you soon! xo alison

soooo many special pictures of max and soooo many special special pictures of max with those who love him. this one, though, is special special special — it tells a story

The Hudson River Valley

All you cared about, Max, was the tractors in the yard …

MAX – You are definitely a country gentleman/construction engineer. What fun you will have spending time at your country place. It looks like ZULU has had it and needs some rest. You will have lots of exploring to do. Enjoy! Love, Papa

Uh-oh; I see a piece of furniture . . . and carpet; secrets are getting out . . .!
Max, I think you should demand a real tractor for your birthday.

P.S: Dad, you better keep those legs in shape!

Beautiful NY day with Lola, Aunt Lexi, Mom and Dad

MAX – You are getting to be a BIG boy – so cute pushing your shopping cart with your Daddy & Lola.

LolaApril 29, 2011 - 4:47 pm

Play, is very serious business with you, MAX!

nancy kramerApril 30, 2011 - 10:15 am

Max, I have two (one…two) things to say:
your sense of purpose when you push your shopping cart leads me to believe that you will be an important asset in the super market.
And, I share with you your feelings about your robe. I too have a beloved robe which I have to pry myself from to put on street clothes. Wouldn’t it be great if we could wear our terry friends out?! Love, auntie
