Lost, but found

Found those photos I thought had gone missing from the bike trip over the Brooklyn bridge the last weekend in October.

Wanted to share them even those this already seems like so long ago.  Winter is here and we are all snuggling in.  You are so much smarter and bigger than you were even here, Max.

Susu and Zayda were here this weekend.  You had such a good time with them – you were really, really great.

We were so busy having fun mommy didn’t take a single picture.  You got your hair cut again – you look great.  Will share some pictures of your cute new ‘do soon.  Sorry I don’t have photos of Susu here – next time, I promise.

Nice! Great photos. MAX – you are getting to be a big boy!

Max, next time you traverse the bridge, please do stop by! you are welcome in brooklyn anytime. xo

LolaDecember 14, 2010 - 5:01 pm

Well, this is a rogue’s gallery of lost cyclists. I think Maxi is the only responsible one in that group.

Lola visits Max

Max: Lola just reminded me that I hadn’t put up your post yet.  I kept forgetting because daddy has me helping him right now and I lost track of everything else – not that this isn’t more important!

Lola visited this weekend (and for the Thanksgiving holiday – which you slept through).  You had a ton of fun and lots of attention.

Uncle Grant was here quite a bit and played ball with you (you have a very good arm).

He was fun.

Lola brought a new firetruck which you adore even though it’s a little old for you and we had to discard some small parts.

You couldn’t get enough of it – every time you woke up, you just wanted to hit the carpet immediately.

You love taking the bucket at the top of the ladder off…

You had lots of kisses from Lola

And you showed her all you’ve got.

She had a little love left over for Zulu.

How many people does it take to get your shoes on?

By the end of the weekend, you were pretty much exhausted.

You are a much better car passenger now, btw.

LolaNovember 30, 2010 - 9:55 pm

Max: Uncle Grant loves to be with you, but truthfully, mainly, he was always there because food was always there.
You’re a stickler for details, and nothing gets by you. The slightest removable part on anything, has to be removed the second you see it. We put it back; you remove it.
We had such a lovely Thanksgiving dinner; and hopefully, next year, you will sit at table with us, and we will provide lots of crayolas for your amusement. Looking forward.

LolaNovember 30, 2010 - 9:59 pm

P.S: How did Uncle Grant get Zulu into that little car with you?

PapaDecember 1, 2010 - 6:30 am

MAX – What a big Thanksgiving & what a great time you had with everyone in
attendance! You and Lola have something special going on – how lucky you are to have so many loving you so much. Even Uncle Grant is getting to be your buddy – such fun!

SuSuDecember 7, 2010 - 7:34 am

These are precious. Everyone loves you, Max. After this fun weekend, I can see up close and personal how irresistible you still are. You were absolutely faabulous all weekend, all hugs and blowing kisses, and not a tear. You even sat at lunch for Mommy and Daddy to visit with their friend for an hour and a half playing with me! Amazing sweetness.

Max at the Piers

Aunt AmyNovember 23, 2010 - 7:28 am

Max – you are such a big boy! You are wearing your new tennis shoes and doing a great job navigating the city in them. When your daddy was about your size, he had a coat just like the one you are wearing here. You look just as precious as he did in his. Thanksgiving is around the corner and I can’t wait to spend it with you.

PapaNovember 23, 2010 - 12:28 pm

MAX – My computer has been down hence I have not been able to comment on your New York City driving skills until now. You are practicing to become a New York taxi driver and are already doing a better job than most. The videos taken by your Daddy are terrific and I laughed out loud as I watched them. You navigated the piers and were having such fun pushing your stroller – just like a big boy. I especially am impressed with your skills at watching the camera whilst you are zooming around your apartment.
You are soooo darling – a real treat & joy to behold. I love & miss you lots!
Happy Thanksgiving!

SuSuNovember 28, 2010 - 1:00 pm

Max – You are quite the navigator. I think Bea must have given you some pointers. It’s fun to see you in so many different N.Y. settings. Wonder how those same spots will look when you get to be an even bigger boy and look back at these. I had totally forgotten your dad’s pea coat like the one you have on till Aunt Amy mentioned it. You will be spiffy just like him. Quite the cool guy. Love and kisses

Max’s weekend with Papa

Max:
Your Papa Larry was in town this weekend.  You had a great time.  You played a lot with Zulu (you are both getting better at playing with each other).  And you and Papa Larry went through all of your toys.  He brought you some new ones with all sorts of buttons, bells and whistles – you loved having some new things to discover.

On Sunday, it was a gorgeous day and we spent time in a playground nearby.

You love running around outside and you don’t fall that often – and when you do, you catch yourself on your hands and then get right up and keep going.

You showed us that you know exactly how to navigate a slide.  You turn right around and get on your tummy and slide down feet first.

Between our apartment, and the park, which has little bikes and cars for all to ride, you rode an amazing number of vehicles this weekend.

And by the end of it all, you were more than ready for your nap.

LolaNovember 15, 2010 - 9:32 pm

Well . . . Max, so much to say:
First, no more baby; just a little boy in very sharp sneakers.
And I love your bright blue jacket – the color of your eyes.
And Grandpa Larry is having way too much fun with you; he snuck off and said nothing about going to visit with you. Lucky you; so many grandparents in your life. Gee, already walking around, and the same age as your mother. Genes.
Your dad seems to always have a lot of fun with you, just being a kid again. No more growing,Max; stay the same for at least 10 years.

PapaNovember 16, 2010 - 6:50 am

MAX – My visit with you was the best! I had such a great time at the park with you- from our early morning walk with your Daddy & Aunt Amy ’til we tucked you in bed at night. It was such fun for me to see you walking everywhere ( about 90 mph.)You are getting to be a big boy and are getting cuter and cuter – especially your blonde curls and juicy cheeks! You’re talking a mile-a-minute and understand everything we say to you ( so we have to be careful of what we say!) Hope you had as much fun as I did – know your Papa loves you LOTS!

SuSuNovember 18, 2010 - 6:52 pm

I’m praying the weather holds out till our weekend with you after Thanksgiving. It seems like an eternity since I’ve seen you. You didn’t walk or talk at all the last time, and it was only 2 months ago. Imagine how fast you’re growing up. Save some fun for us, all of you, because we’re on our way. Happy Thanksgiving coming up. Love, Susu

Max goes to Brooklyn

Max:
This weekend we were invited to Alison, Andy, Claudia and Scarlett’s house in Brooklyn

They had a brunch filled with kids

You made yourself right at home – you played with everyone.

You really love playing with other children

You can amuse yourself with anything …

… really, anything

You checked out the entire apartment

You walked everywhere

Look how confident you are on your feet now

You got to ride the subway.  On the way home, you were so exhausted, you wanted to hug your monkey

Home again

PapaNovember 9, 2010 - 6:29 am

MAX – What a fun time you had! You’re getting to be a real social butterfly. So now you’re even taking the subway – a real New Yorker! I especially like photo #6 and the last 2 – those are very cool shades and the mirror shot is great! You’re getting to be a big boy and are soooo darling!

LolaNovember 9, 2010 - 7:48 pm

Well, Max; it’s those cool sneakers that make you want to walk everywhere. What a nice party! And you tried to eat your daddy’s head; – must have been very hungry. I wonder what mommy and daddy think of their baby walking around everywhere.

SuSuNovember 10, 2010 - 8:45 am

Max,
You have the most fun-filled weekends. Your friends and you play very nicely together. Claudia and Scarlett always seem to enjoy your company even though they are much older. You didn’t even mind when one of them sat in your dad’s lap. I see you liked the kitchen spoon. When you graduate to the banging the pots under the sink, I’ll know you’re just like your daddy was. Makes the lids hard to fit from then on, but what the heck! And, wow, a subway ride. Now you can go up to Auntie Nancy’s with no trouble at all. Hope I get to take you there soon.
